CHAPEL
Secondary Chapel
Every Thursday morning secondary school students receive many blessings in specially planned chapel services. High school services are conducted by Mr. Jeremy Gregory, and middle school services are led by Mr. Tim Carpenter although the two chapel services are frequently combined for special occasions. Praise and contemporary music begin each week's event with the student praise band and vocal ensemble leading the high school music segment.
Speakers from the community, including several local youth ministers, bless students with meaningful, inspirational messages. The students have also had speakers from local colleges and other Christian ministries over the past year. The chapel coordinators extend a personal invitation to parents and area ministers to present a chapel message. We are always looking for special guest speakers for our chapel time.
A very special, personal time that has become very important to the students is the prayer time at the end of the chapel service. It is then that students can pray with and for each other's needs. Teachers are always available to pray with students at this time of the service.
Parents are encouraged to come and visit the chapel time to observe the programs presented and be blessed by the speakers and special music prepared by the students and faculty.
Elementary Chapel
Our elementary students are equally blessed every Thursday as they enjoy their very own chapel service. Students in grades 1-5 participate weekly in chapel as they recite pledges to the American flag, Christian flag, and the Bible; read a Scripture verse together; sing praise and also silly interactive songs; hear from Mr. Bloecher, our elementary principal; and learn godly character traits as they are encouraged to treat others as they would want to be treated. Student birthdays are also celebrated every week.
Every six weeks an awards chapel is held to recognize students achieving the Honor Roll and High Honor Roll. The highly coveted "Principal Award" and "Christ in Me Award" are also presented to students in every grade level. Parents are warmly invited to attend chapel each week.
