ACCREDITATION
Carrollton Christian Academy maintains accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Association of Christian Schools International (ASCI). The school's academic and fine arts programs schedule local, district, regional, and state competition through ACSI and the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS). Athletic teams play in TAPPS District 3-A competition. In addition, the United Methodist University Senate validates CCA as an approved church-related institution.
SOUTHERN ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGES AND SCHOOLS (SACS)
SACS accredits more than 12,000 public and private educational institutions from pre-kindergarten through university level in eleven states of the southeastern United States and in Latin America. Member institutions regularly perform comprehensive self-evaluations to assist them in planning for improvement and to assure the public of their overall quality. SACS is one of only six such regional accrediting organizations in the United States recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Additional information regarding SACS can be found at http://www.sacs.org.
ASSOCIATION OF CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS INTERNATIONAL (ACSI)
ACSI accreditation programs are for preschool, elementary, and secondary schools. Recognized at the national level as well as by many regional and state accrediting agencies, these programs provide a comprehensive evaluation model for Christian schools. Programs and services are designed to assist Christian schools at every grade level including early education and higher education. ASCI has sixteen regional offices in North America and around the globe. Current membership includes 5,000 member schools from 115 countries with an enrollment of 1,030,000 students. The ACSI accreditation program was one of the first programs to be recognized officially by the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA).

UNITED METHODIST UNIVERSITY SENATE
In October 2001, Carrollton Christian Academy, a ministry of First United Methodist Church of Carrollton, became the 124th school approved by the denomination's senate as a church-related institution. The University Senate is an elected group of twenty-five higher education professionals who determine which schools, colleges, universities, and seminaries meet the criteria for listing as institutions affiliated with the United Methodist Church. CCA is the first pre-collegiate school approved by the senate since 1981. The senate, established in 1882, is one of the oldest accrediting bodies in the country. Its mission was to ensure that schools, colleges, and universities related to the church were worthy of carrying the denomination's name. Among other criteria, an accredited church-related school must:
- Respect, honor, and provide the teaching of religion, specifically theological teaching in the Christian tradition within the curriculum;
- Respect and honor religious practice, specifically worship and service for students and faculty;
- Encourage the exploration of the place of religious belief and practice in the larger society; and
- Allow faculty and students to explore the place of religious belief and practice.
