The newspaper class produces the three-time, State-winning "Messenger" and is designed to allow the student to participate in the actual production of the school newspaper. Students apply skills learned from journalism classes in basic newspaper production. The paper remains under the supervision of the instructor, but the students manage the newspaper operation, working in the areas of photography, editing, reporting, business and editorial management, and advertising. Students also learn the importance of meeting deadlines.
